Hey! Good to finally meet u !)
You can call me Kay! My full name is Ke Fang 方可: in Chinese, the family name “方-Fang” comes first, my given name “可-Ke” is pronounced like “Kuh” with a third tone.
I am a Psychology PhD student in the cognitive science 🧠 area at Stanford University🌲, working with the amazing ✨Robert Hawkins✨ in the Social Interaction Lab (SoIL🌱).
Aspiring to be a cognitive scientist of social minds, I am particularly interested in computational approaches for understanding how distributed individual minds give rise to emergent collective phenomena such as cooperation, social norms, and polarization.
I earned my master’s degree at NYU🗽, where I worked with Madalina Vlasceanu and Ashwini Ashokkumar on topics in social psychology. Before moving to the U.S., I received my bachelor’s degree in management from Lanzhou University🐫 in China.
When not working, I usually make myself a cup of pour-over coffee (I drink hot coffee all year round) and read, and possibly try to draw some watercolors.
